| Bio: | Zoey Redbird, or "Z" as many of her friends call her is from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma which is a suburb of Tulsa. Her birth name was Zoey Montgomery, but she was able to choose a new name when she entered her new life as a vampyre fledgling, so she took her closest relative's, her grandmother's, last name of Redbird. She did this because her home life wasn't too great. She never knew her dad; all she knew was his last name: Montgomery. Her mom remarried a "good" man named John Heffer who was an Elder in the People of Faith denomination of Christianity (Which basically meant he had money, a nice house, a good job and positive role in the community.). Her sister was your average cheerleader type, who managed to act like a "perfect" daughter with perfect hair and the perfect attitude to their step-father, but secretly, she was, basically, a whore. Her little brother, Kevin, managed to do nothing except hide and play massively violent video games, and fake that we were the perfect family. She was the only one that didn't hide the way she felt. She never hid how angry or disappointed she was in life. The only one in her family that loves her, or even understand me, is her Grandmother. She's native Cherokee, so Zoey learned my respect for ancient ways through her. Everything got worse when Zoey was marked at school, in front of her used-to-be best friend, Kayla. A Tracker found her at school and marked her as a fledgling -- a vampyre fledgling. She was an unusual vampyre fledgling. Instead of having the outline of a blue crescent, her Goddess, Nyx, gave Zoey the mark of a vampyre post fledgling stage; she also gave her an affinity for all five of the elements: earth, air, fire, water, and spirit. This makes Z the most powerful vampyre priestess known. Even more so, she was given beautiful tribal tattoos after she had saved her friends a multitude of times -- Nyx, has big plans for Zoey. She also discovered the Red Fledglings. They are another type of vampyres who are not alive, but yet, not dead. They still have connections with their magic, but they're more like your average Bram Stoker's Dracula vampyre. And instead of blue markings, they have red markings. And used to be, those that had blue markings just thought those with the red markings had died, their bodies rejecting the Change, when they really just changed vampyre forms. Zoey's life is very complex. Before she left Broken Arrow High for the House of Night (Vampyre Finishing School), she was kind of seeing Heath, the quarterback of the football team. When she got to the House of Night, she began seeing Erik Night, who is a theater guru. Then, while Zoey was seeing Erik, her mentor, Neferet (Who wants to kill Zoey.), put a spell on her so she would sleep with Neferet's consort, Loren, who then Neferet killed. And then, after Erik found out, he left her. But then, when Erik realized that Zoey was under a spell, after he Changed, he came back to be a replacement Theater Professor after Professor Nolan was murdered. | ||||||||||
